Save Coal River Mountain from the evil clutches of Massey Energy
Save Coal River Mountain from destruction
Keep her pristine and beautiful so that our children can see the beauty of the Coal River Valley
HANDS OFF COAL RIVER MOUNTAIN

I want to say I am sorry for all the hate filled messages that have been directed toward your group. I do not wish any harm on any of you. I do want you to know that we locals do not want you here. You claim that you are fighting for us. You claim becaused you stopped the coal production you saved the earth one more day. For every action their is an equal and opposite reaction.
You may have stopped a meal for a child somewhere. I know that when I recieve extra money, be it thru a bonus or overtime, I make more donations to causes that I see important, i.e. feeding a homeless child in another country or donating money to the Salvation Army. When I don't get to work for whatever reason I have less money thus am less able to make such contributions. The people who work at these sites are not there because it's where they want to hang out. They are there to earn money. They don't go begging for handouts from strangers to get someone out of jail because they broke a law, as your group does.
They work and they donate to causes that matter. Feeding children. I do admire your passion, but if you would take that energy and apply it to what matters then you would be better off.
I do have questions for you. You claim that the area would be better off with out our coal mines. Do you have ONE name of a local supporter that has income? Income that does not come from coal? And if you do, where does it come from? If your goals are reached where do you see the residents? How do you suppose that we support our families. You claim that the windmills will create jobs. Will these jobs pay as the coal industry does? Will they sustain this area? Will they ensure that the pensions and retirements of the miners remain intact?

No greater love has any man than he lay down his life for his friends. I will never cease to be amazed at the acts of kindness and concern that these young men and women have shown towards folks whom they have never met. Laura, De, Grace, and Nick, you are truly heroes in our house.
